Sleeping Children Around the World has picked up a $32,746 donation from Sherway Gardens.

Last Wednesday, Sherway Gardens general manager Andy Traynor and senior marketing director Elena Price handed the cheque to Sleeping Children chair Dave Dryden. The organization makes bed kits for less fortunate children around the world.

"Since 2002, Sherway Gardens has proudly donated 100 per cent of the proceeds from the Santa Experience to Sleeping Children Around the World," said Price.

The Santa Experience is an interactive play session that features singalongs, dancing and story reading where children share their wishes with Santa and pose for a picture.

Over the years, Sherway Gardens has raised $172,115 via the show.

"It's great to see that during Christmas, children can celebrate and have pictures taken with Santa while kids overseas are receiving bedkits," said Dryden.
