A Mississauga couple hosted a cocktail fundraiser that raised over $5,000 Sleeping Children Around the World Thursday night at an Erin Mills restaurant. Lisa and Jim Browne were joined by some 80 people at the Rosewood Bistro, where they held a raffle with over 40 items up for grabs.
The fourth annual event raised enough money to buy 145 bed kits - valued at $35 a kit - for its charity of choice. Last year, they raised enough to purchase 138 bed kits for needy children in Africa and India.
